Delta Tau
The Delta Tau chapter was founded in 1991 and is one of the Top Ranked and Top Earning PSE Chapters in the nation.Delta Tau is one of the largest and most active student organizations at UNC Wilmington, with over 80 members.The 2010-2011 CEI year was a success, at the 2011 National Convention in Orlando, Florida several awards were presented to Delta Tau including: Top Sales Project, Top Marketing Research Project, & Top Faculty Advisor.
Annual Budweiser Wilmington Wing Fling notable for the wing competition among 9 local restaurants, 3 live bands, and plenty of vendors, food, and fun. This year the 15th Annual Budweiser Wing Fling, themed "Where the Wild Wings Are", succeeded expectations by raising money to fund national and regional trips, chapter activities, also including approximately $10,000 to be donated towards the Wilmington Residential Adolescent Achievement Place program. This year Wing Fling was moved to a brand new location in Carolina Beach, NC on March 26th and featured over 20 sponsors from the Greater Wilmington Area.
Delta Tau members worked hard to make this project a success. A special thank you to Faculty Advisor, Lynnea Mallalieu who worked extra hours to make Wing Fling possible. Another special thank you to Faculty Advisor, Sandra Wells and Faculty Advisor, Katherine Hartman as well as other faculty and community members who contributed towards the sucess of Wing Fling 2011.
